MY WORK

Pillow Face

“Pillow Face” criticizes the extremes of cosmetic surgery and society's fixation with youth. With one gloved hand on her back and the other reaching for a dropped glove, revealing an old, untreated arm, this life-sized figure, dressed in a red dress and heels, adopts a tense position. Her face has literally become a pillow, signifying how too much Botox can destroy a person's identity and make their face appear nearly lifeless. Pillow Face, which is made of MDF, acrylic paint, and glittery gloves, invites viewers to consider the cost of fake youth while reflecting the absurdity and allure of beauty standards.

Glamour Odyssey

“Glamour Odyssey” is a mixed media sculpture that deals with the realm of future beauty standards and ideals. This work is the accumulation of filters and these beauty trends over many decades. It poses the question: What will women look like in a century if forced to evolve by such influential trends?
